U.S. Stocks
Fundamental Analysis:
The recent remarks by many central bank officials reflect that the pace of policy tightening may be slowed down. But judging from the performance of recent U.S. economic data, it is still believed that the Federal Reserve may raise interest rates three times in total this year and will carry out quantitative tightening.
With this, the market is still seeing six to seven rate hikes over the next 12 months.
Meanwhile, the Russia-Ukraine conflict has reduced the risk of central banks slamming on the brakes to curb inflation.
Given that conflict is more likely to lead to higher prices, the Fed is likely to face less political pressure to rein in inflation. Plus, borrowing costs are bound to rise sharply, and a new wave of gains for the dollar seems inevitable.
Therefore, this may cause upward price pressure on the stock market, which is currently in a state of high and sideways volatility.
